meet kristina!
founder of bookish delights, writer, editor, reader
Hello! My name is Kristina. Welcome to Bookish Delights! 💝
I’m thirty years old (a surprise to me every day), and ever since I learned to read (at four, according to my mum), books have been a great source of joy in my life. You could say they’re my entire personality. In school, I was always known as “the girl who reads” if that tells you anything.
Over the years, my tastes have changed and evolved; I’ve been in years-long reading slumps and rediscovered books several times; sometimes I read a 100 books a year, sometimes only 12. I’ve staunchly refused to read ebooks, now I’m their biggest fan. I’ve read more fanfics that I can count. One thing has remained the same, though, and that’s my love of reading.
My life so far has been pretty boring by other people’s standards. I’ve lived in the same small town my whole life (and I love it!), I’ve travelled only a little and I enjoy being at home the most, reading or watching TV shows, or playing video games. I’m an introvert through and through, and I’m lucky to have found a partner just as (if not more) introverted than I am.
Other than reading, I love the aforementioned gaming, baking, and I attempt a garden every year which inevitably fails. I have three brilliant daughters and one amazing husband. My favorite colors are yellow and blue, and my biggest dream is to finally finish my novel.

why this blog?
Bookish Delights started as a passion project, a space for me to ramble about my latest reads, my bookish opinions, and my own writing. The name came from one of my favorite books as a child, The Chronicles of Narnia — you know, Turkish Delights.
I’ll read almost anything, but my heart belongs to romance in all shapes and forms. Genuinely, I’ll read and like anything if there’s romance and it’s good, but I’m very picky about it. I love literary fiction as well, and some classics. Fantasy romance is (in theory) my favorite genre, but it doesn’t always work out. I read spicy books (of course), but I prefer yearning and don’t need the spice at all.
Alongside Bookish Delights, I also write about games on PlayForge, so if that’s your jam, you can find my thoughts on cozy games, mobile games, Baldur’s Gate 3, Stardew Valley and more over there.
a peek into my world…
*i have three beautiful, amazing, brilliant daughters as well, but we don’t share their faces online anywhere!
