Dark side Legally Blonde.

I expected a fun romance with older protagonists and got something that fell flat and was ultimately frustrating.

Whoever said that the narrator of White Nights is a perfect example of the “Nice Guy” is correct.

This romance book wasn’t romantic at all — an elegy of misused plot devices, wasted opportunities and poorly done characters.

What I hoped would be a sweet and spicy friends-to-lovers quickly turned into a cringey, bog-standard hockey romance.

In which I find what is probably my least favorite book of the year.
